Vertical Gardens are the New Thing

I think we can all agree that plastic bottles are the number one cause of waste in the world, with over 50 million plastic bottles thrown away each day only in the US. Plastic bottles are used to contain endless products, from laundry detergent to chocolate syrup, but its purpose shouldn't be limited to that. All of these bottles, different shapes and sizes can be reused and recycled into something completely different and innovative, that's why I invite you to check out Budget Dumpster to see 18 ways in which you can turn your plastic bottles at home into something new and helpful.

Sustainability centers on the idea of maintaining or sustaining itself over time, and in order for someone to do this, one way is to bring nature into your home, and what better way to do it while recycling plastic bottles. One of the projects that captured my attention was the vertical garden that used plastic soda bottles. I invite you to check out the other articles on our website to learn more about the importance of plants in our homes.

If you live in a small home with not so much yard space this project is perfect for you. Just find an empty wall outside, where the sun hits. With some plastic soda bottles and twine, cut a hole in each bottle, add soil and seeds of your choice and take care of your plants. Make sure to water and take care of them, to have a successful vertical garden with beautiful plants, flowers, or produce.
